On Thursday evening (Nov 1st) Mute Math was putting on a show in downtown Ft. Lauderdale at Revolution. In case you haven’t heard of Mute Math, they made the theme song for the recent Transformers movie and another one of their songs, Typical, is fairly popular - it was even sung on American Idol. You can watch Typical below.
Whether or not you like their music, you will like their show! When they appeared on stage, the lead singer Paul Meany got on top of his keyboard and then jumped off with a keyboard guitar in hand. After watching the drummer, Darren King, duct tape his headphones onto his head, it was apparent that this was going to be a good show. The bass guitarist proved he could play a cello - the cello pumped out mad bass by the way. A foot was used to play the keyboard. The drummer even left his set for a while to stand on top of the keyboard and beat his head with a drumstick, all the while great guitar music along with an infusion of electronic noises shook the venue.
