Placer News is an online magazine which  follows American pop culture.  Interestingly enough, the Auburn Journal (Auburn, California) previously used the domain name PlacerNews.com.  Auburn is located in Placer County just outside of Sacramento.  Placer County extends from the suburbs of Sacramento to Lake Tahoe and is located in “gold country”.  While you might be able to find a gold nugget in Placer, you’ll be more likely to find a golden nugget of information at PlacerNews.com.
